My new project is covered in oil. V6 Vitara

Have not had the time yet to investigate and will not get that time for 3 more months, but the bloke I bought it off said his mechanic told him leaking head gasket ?? My thoughts would be rocker cover ?

Wouldn't a leaking head gasket have loss of power ECT...

It's possible for the head gasket to leak oil without actually 'blowing'. I'd be leaning more towards leaky rocker cover gaskets too but best to degrease and recheck before diving into fixing anything

Thats what I thought scrawn and what I will do to check, seems unlikely to me to be the head gasket.
