Hi guys just done a rebuild on my g16a vitara however somewhere in between taking off the head and sending it away for rebuild etc I have managed to loose the pin that comes out of the head into the fuel pump which I didn't even know existed till it was too late. I'm not sure what to do now. Does anyone know where to find one or any ideas on how to get around this problem I have put it all back together but can't start it due to a bloody tiny pin.

Car is a 1990 g16a vitara 8valve carby.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I've moved this to the 'I want it' section for you. Hopefully someone will have one floating around somewhere

Its the same as an SJ pin, during my engine swap I mislaid mine, ordered a new one and then found it was the same as the one I had in the old SJ head.

Hey guys I couldn't find the pin and Suzuki wouldn't even order one for me saying it's only worth $9 and Japan won't send just one out. So I got creative and fabricated one and it worked I now have fuel pimping into the carb. However after driving it two times my fuel pump has started spitting out oil very heavily like 4 liters in 20 minutes. I know the fuel pump needs replacing but do you think this will happen again cause of the pushrod we made or was it just a coincidence.

Thanks in advance

How did you work out a length for the pushrod? It's possible it's too long but more likely it's just a shot pump
