Hey on my '91 SWB WT Serria, the wiper blades slip down off the windscreen if I'm on corrugations for any length of time........is this usual ??

Maybe check the linkage? When my wipers weren't working at all the first thing google told me to check was to see if the wipers themselves are hard to move, if they are easy to move then that suggested a problem with the linkage.
Mine were hard to move so was a problem with the motor,

I manually place them back in position, and they work perfectly to wash the dust off the screen. They return to the correct position and will stay like that until I spend an hour or so on the corrugations.
