I threw a 1.3 (g13b) distributor on mine, which run electronic ignition. Never got it fully sorted but others have.

Maybe- pretty sure I've seen an f10a with the distributor facing the opposite way to the sierra version.

I'm assuming it currently has points, as otherwise you wouldn't be asking about a kit. I just fitted a kit at Piranha Off Road to a 1.0litre points distributor, easy, bolt in kit, costs $320. I work there - not saying buy our kit, but we do sell one to suit. An alternative, is that the F10A Maruti versions in the 1990s ran an electronic ignition distributor - might be able to either fit those bits into your body (if the body is mounted differently in a van) or just fit the whole thing + module. Cheers, Michael V.

slimer13b wrote: arent all F10A engines the same? No. I believe the block & head are identical, but, the remainder may differ significantly depending on the vehicle. A Sierra (or Maruti) will have the engine mounted, more or less, vertically, but the Carry vans have it tilted at a significant angle, under the front seat. Oil pans are different, intake & exhaust manifolding is different, as Steve has pointed out, the distributors are mounted differently - who knows what else is different.
