hey, is there some sort of trick to getting a sierra gear box out without removing engine ?? I've tried every angle its starting to piss me off was thinking maybe remove driveshaft front diff to t case but id prefer not to any tips any one ?? cheers its a 1.3 L

Slice 10mm off the front of the pad the gearbox mount sits on.

I jacked the back of the engine up, undo the exhaust pipe under car and tie the part from the engine to the chassis, with a bit of wriggling and twisting the box will come out the left side of the car..........I got this from somewhere on this site.

Took mine out few weeks ago. Got it out with just a twist and pushing the rear of it to the passenger side. You have to take off the selector
|

with the driveshafts removed its really easy. few extra minutes work saves a lot of stuffing around

done the notch and it came out sweet all back together thanks for the advice, only prob is the clutch pedal is soft as, so easy to stall I'm guessing new clutch cable , it feels like it needs bleeding but its cable ?? wtf
