Hey Zookers,

I bought my first Zook a couple of months ago

I took it onto the beach the other day for the first time and when I put it in 4x4 it vibrates a heap. Enough to make the temp + fuel gauge shake like crazy and the 4x4 stick to.

This normal?

Not normal.
Check your uni joints on the front drive shaft.

Also worth checking the front driveshaft slip joint too, Hubs locked in mine and I can't go over 60 it's that bad.

All good!

Checked the drive shaft and the rear one was out 180' on the splines

Still vibrates a bit but no where near as bad as it was. Front uni joint look a bit dodge as well

Yeah it has a 2 inch lift

Is the front driveshaft in phase?

They have align dots punched on slip shaft. Mine had wear in the splines, no vibration just awful rattle. Wide Track and Narrow track have different shaft flange bolt spacings and bolt size. Better to have the same brand Uni joints on the shaft.

I will check the align dots

Found a set of uni joints on ebay jap made so going to replace those and see how that goes

Bruce had vibrations in his due to a changed pinion angle. Front uni on the front shaft was running flat while the rear had quite an angle to it
