Hey guys, so my Suzuki Samurai 1988 1.3 has just come back from having new pistons and rings put in (Cyclinder head cleaned also) and its got rid of the smoke when I drive normally, but now I have a new problem. When I go up a steep incline in 4wd, the car starts to stutter like its running out of fuel, then gets very smoky, I know its not the rings as soon as I drive back on the flat, its clean as a whistle with plenty of power. Any ideas, has my carb been put back on wrong? I notice the left side is very dirty inside compared to the right side which is squeaky clean. Any ideas guys?

Sounds like it's surging, due to a lack of fuel under load, check the fuel filter, for blockage, some carbs I work on also have a gauze in the fuel inlet which blocks, and my vitara has also done it with a shot fuel pump
