i know bulldog made a thread about this not long ago and i have read it hence why i put this in the noob area. but which leafs out of this pack should i remove (what do people recommend) i was thinking the long flat one and leaving the top three along with the small flat one?

No only what's in the pack at the moment. If you include the one of the floor then the 3rd one up.

Are they front or rear leaves? or rear leaves going in the front?

The flat leaves on the bottom will just stop the spring inverting its arc - which will improve the spring life. If you want the leaves to invert then take them out, but they shouldn't affect your ride softness at all. The CAN lower the amount of flex you get but that all depends on how far the leaves can invert before hitting the bump stop or the tyres hit the guards if your bumpstops arent spaced.

my leaves have a total of about 50mm camber in them (pretty much dead flat) at ride height, so all my up travel is by inverting the leaf... my leaves last me about 2-3 years before they're sagged completely:

Blkfxx its a pair of rears going in the front but also have a pair of realrs for the back i want to take some out!

and did you take the same one out in your pack leaving the flat ones? like you have recomended for me

Nope. I run Hilux leaves in mine so i just run the 2 main (full length) leaves and a cut down lower leaf as a spacer. The lux leaves are a thicker and wider material than stock sierra so with that setup the spring rate is still quite high believe it or not.

Rear- You can just make out the cut down leaf on the bottom of the pack:

fair enough but you think for best flex and everything leave the flat ones?
how long do you recon they would last without the flat ones?

The flat ones will limit your up travel only if your spring needs to invert before hitting the bump stop. So for all intents and purposes they shouldn't limit your flex...

Once you modify a leaf pack it's anyone's guess how long it'll last =) lol

I run 3 leaves + load in the rear and 3 leaves in the front (RUF with chassis extension) It works well for me. Considering your other topic suggests running RUF with just extended shackles you may want to put 4 leaves in the front, But mainly it's all trial and error.

i would only be able to run 3 and one or 2 loads
so rear im going to run the top 3 and the really small flat one and in the front ill run the top three and the long flat one

Hey guys anyone mixed EFS 65mm and Factory sierra rear springs for RUF?

I was just wondering as I have the 65mm EFS lift kit, which is a 3 inch lift right?

So for my RUF I was wondering if factory Sierra rears mixed with 65mm EFS front springs would lift the front up more or than 2 inches and closer to 3 inches or not?
