Hi guys, Seems when i put my foot on the accelerator about half way down the car dies in revs but then picks back up (also does it when i just put it to flat foot from a start) making it kinda hard to take off fast. Anyone had this issue before? or anyone know wat it may be?

Seems like it has a flat spot, it really struggles to go up his starts to blow smoke then will stall.

Seems as though its got worse over the course of 2-3 weeks.

I'm pretty sure the accelerator pump is inside the carb.

When going up hills, i seem to hear something sounds like air going woow, woow, woow, (while climbing in revs), then goes away in high revs
Ill try get a video.
Also seems to blow smoke when really struggling seems to only do it every now and again then goes back to normal.

has someone modified the vacuum secondaries? i made mine come on all the time so i have a flat spot but i'm used to it and it goes much harder. sometimes the secondaries don't fully close and its runs with a rich idle and pumps out black smoke and idles high. in my case its a trade off for lack of power i'm running mine off manifold vacuum not carb vacuum so it has a vacuum leak too, will make it all mechanical once i can be bothered
