Just had a question I havent been able to find the answer for.
Im trying to make the conversion as simple as possible so is it possible to leave the 1.6 dizzy on and use the 1.3 intake manifold and carby on.

The new engine is from a 1990 8v Carby vitara.

Feel free to post links as I havent been able to find an answer anywhere.

Hey Ben,
I run the vitara g16a 8v Carby engine in my Coily.
I run the 1.6 dizzy, 1.6 intake manifold and my original g13ba carby and air intake.
One thing you will run into is the g16 sits just higher so you can either body lift or simply space the bonnet up as i have done.

Check out the second page of my build thread at the bottom for some photos.

While it does work you will get a performance gain by going up to the larger carby and air intake. The 1.3 intake really chokes a 1.6.
