Hey guys having trouble adjusting my choke. I've heard there's 2 lines to match up but can only find one? Is the other supposed to be on the plastic gear itself? There's another line way down near the cam roller but looks to be for something different. It's the standard 2 barrel Aisin carby

The car doesn't run when cold for the first 20 seconds unless you hold the throttle in over 1500rpm. Then I can take my foot off and it runs like a pig (around 700rpm), I then have to turn the hot idle screw in for it to rev by itself around 1500rpm... as it warms up the revs gradually increase until it sits around 2500rpm or over.. thermostat is open and its warm by that point, so I adjust the hot idle screw back down from 2500rpm to about 1100rpm. Then we're ready to go and she runs fine

Go to start it the next morning and she won't run. Hold my foot in turn the screw in let it warm up, then turn it out again once warm rinse and repeat. Any ideas?

Cold idle screw?

If the carb was recently cleaned, it may be out of adjustment, if not, you may have binding linkages, many of them are spring loaded and it doesn't take much to prevent them from moving - a good hose down with a spray carb cleaner, and a few drops of oil.

Warm idle should be around 800, cold idle (and yes, there is a separate screw) should be around 1800 (I think - it's been awhile)

same problem here. how do I adjust my warm idle. it curantly sits around the 1200 mark.

Download an FSM and adjust everything as per the manual.

Don't just mess with everything until it's sort of right. I've seen so many carbies that have had every adjustment messed with/removed etc until they're impossible to get right any more.

You need to baseline the carby before you make any adjustments.

I hate carbies and try to avoid having anything to do with them, but without doubt you'll be in for a world of hurt if you try and adjust stuff without baselining the carby to stock specs first.
