Hi members

I am after a Suzuki Grand Vitara 5 speed manual gearbox to replace mine which is stuffed.
My car is a 1999 GV with the J20A motor and a 5 speed manual tranny. pretty sure anything from 1999 to 2005 will fit.

If you have one or know of where I can get one I would be very grateful.

Cheers eyspy

What is stuffed about it? Have you had a look inside?

edit: just realised we have chatted about this before (http://www.auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=50663)

I have just, this last weekend, overhauled mine. If you are interested I may be able to help you out seeing as I literally have everything still setup to go.

Waterhouse that would be good if u could. I have the cash to pay you in your back pocket.

The input bearing is gone, whines in all but 4th gear. Main crank seal has gone also. Whilst apart may as well put a new clutch and pressure plate in.
The car is still drivable. Was going to do it all myself but unexpectedly my got pregnant with our 5th child and is due in 6 weeks, so money allocated for workshop hoist has been spent on baby stuff, and time has been swallowed up for me to do it.
I can drive the car to your place if you are willing to do it I would be wrapt to say the least ? I could assist in removal ECT....

No problem. I will see what I can do to leave some cash for a vasectomy. 8O

In the meantime, if you haven't bought stuff already, you will need:
Bearing kit http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-Grand-Vitara-1-6-inj-5-speed-manual-gearbox-bearing-oil-seal-rebuild-kit-/111676512254?hash=item1a007057fe
Rear Crank Seal http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rear-Crank-Seal-Suzuki-Vitara-2-0-V6-95-99-Grand-Vitara-2-0-V6-XL7-98-08-/330799007104?hash=item4d05284580

Spigot bearing from Bursons. There are two listed in their database. It is the one with the bigger inside diameter

PM coming shortly.
