Hey Everyone, I have a 1996 Vitara JX Soft top. Its in pretty good condition for its age. Stock road tyres still 80%, interior in good nic, perfect windscreen, low K's for age, great carpet, new muffler and cat just welded in (professionally). Unfortunatelly it has recently developed a rattle which my mechanic thinks is a piece broken off the top of a piston. I want to sell it anyway due to needing a car that I can put a baby seat in. How much do you think would be a realistic asking price? Or do I need to part it out to make decent coin? Engine is a fuel injected G16B. Thanks.

I'd imagine my best bet was to find someone who's in a mechanical trade who is looking to start a project with good bones and already planning on doing an engine rebuild. Easier said than done.

Well that's a huge letdown because I spent $450 last week on exhaust and a new tyre.

I am sorry but it is nearly 20 years old now - I have a LWB sitting in the yard that was not only running but registered until I brought a 1998 GV V6 for $800 2 years ago - Now I just use it to collect firewood.
