Does any one know what the standard fuel pressure is for a 16V motor?
I have had to fit an after market fuel pump and are having problems, have been told that the fuel pressure may be too high.
Regards, Pete

The pump doesn't set the pressure, the regulator sets the pressure. If the pump has way more flow than standard, it could be causing excessive pressure in the fuel rail. What's the symptoms?

Thanks for the reply.
That's what I thought. But was told to look at pressure. We are not running original pump. Symptoms are: engine fires up but will only run on 3/4 throttle and above will not idle. This is a reconed engine, first start up and is a replacement for my original 8v carby. I was thinking it may be a sensor issue?

Then it's unlikely to be excessive pressure. Sure it has adequate pressure? The regulator is set at 41.2psi (290 Kpa)
