I just purchased these: "Calmini Suzuki Vitara 2" Supention Lowering Kit"
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =991645787

With a little help from Ben T (it was an excuse to order off him and save some shipping) :woohoo:

I have never seen these arms with anything but a full lift kit. This is much cheaper and I have less to get rid of, given I only want the a wish bones. They are supposed to be "new in box" so this seems to be a Calmini NZ-only thing? Anybody seen these 'sick' lowering kits for a Vit in another country??

Thought some people may apreciate the share.

thanks,
Mathew

Those have been for sale on Trade Me for at least a few years now. Has never been much interest. Always came up in my calmini searches.

Well its cheaper to get that kit and chuck the springs than the lift kit and chuck a lot more away. Good for people that just want the arms.

But they won't work in a lift application as the camber correction built into them will be incorrect.

That would depend on how much lowering they are designed for. Am I right in saying you think they will be shorter?

I got frustrated trying to get info on them and decided i would take the punt and measure when they arrived.

I think what he is saying is the camber correction will be opposite to what you want,

It canf physically be opposite. Out of the factory the arms are level. Or at least mine sits level i am assuming i dont hav sagged springs obviously.

Moving the.car up or down its suspension travel results in a positive camber situation as the arms scribe their arc. Hence you normally want longer arms in either situation.
