If you searched it you would find huge amounts of info on the falcon upgrade

Sorry just realised this is the I want it thread. Though you did kinda post it in the form of a question

Oh I've searched it... It's 9 pages and 250+ replies most of which is irrelevant to me.

It mostly helped me realise that I have a seemingly very low attention span.

I also have the disadvantage of being 900km from the nearest proper wreckers.

So, as you accurately pointed out, I did ask a question - what ready to install alternator upgrades are available. I don't have the luxury of accessibility or inclination to do the groundwork, but I do have money...

I want to buy a kit that somebody else has sourced, with all the necessary plugs, brackets, components etc so that I can simply bolt it in.

I want it I want it I want it...

i don't believe such a kit exists, the most popular option is an EF/EL falcon alternator (mitsubishi brand) at 110 amps, but requires you to fiddle with brackets, pulleys & fuses. but it's likely that any alternator you upgrade to will require you to do these things.

Seems like there's enough demand for an auszookepreneur to make it a thing...?

Anyway, in the absence of such a commercial product, I'm still thinking it's worth asking if someone has done some or all of the work for an unfinished project, or maybe suffered engine failure etc. and would sell the modified components...

I know of maybe 3-4 people on AZ over the last 5 years who have shown interest or been prepared to fork out $ for someone else to do all the legwork in sourcing the bits.

I've sold 2 sets of pulleys etc and 1 alternator, there's no real money in it, just helping people out.

I'll keep an eye out if you're interested.

There is an 80amp option you can buy from low rage and a mounting braket for it .
It's probably not that much less effort than the ford option but it should be pretty simple to get right and all delivered

the falcon Alternator will fit a G16b without any pully mods , all that is needed is to drill the lower mount to suit
