This is most likely one of the most stupid questions ever, and i apologise. is there a difference between a NT and a WT body or does a WT just have wider flares? The reason that i ask is that im looking at buying a windsreen surround to fit to my 85 1.3 LWB sierra.

NT and WT 1.3 bodies are the same, just wider flares. 1L bodies have a smaller trans tunnel.

yerp mostly the same...

although the only difference i can think of is that in the early NT bodies, they didn't have holes for retractable seatbelts, and then later they just had a drivers side hole, then later in the wide tracks they had rectractable seatbelt holes on both sides.

useless information No. 363 :)

well that would certainly make a WT conversion alot easier i can buy a wreck from auctions strip it and build up a wicked chassis and running gear then just transfer the body on over a weekend :D

there is a difference between the windscreen surrounds, wipers, arms and mechanisms are different. NT have a shorter gap between the wiper arm and the windscreen squirter. WT have a bigger gap between the wiper and the squirter.
Having said that if the surround is complete including arms and mechanism's then they are interchangeable as complete items but if the surround is bare then it will need to be the same as the one with these parts in it.

True, but if it were me I would stay with the NT chassis and spring position and fit WT diff housings, which will make it a much better off road vehicle with better flex and articulation
