Should there be another dowel in the top of the block at the rear?

Yes there should...Don't know. Its only for alignment of the head isn't it?? Better get it fixed, you got a month till the next big outing!!

check in the bottom of the head :wink: Thats where mine was last time I took it off

Yep I sorta figured there should be one there. Can't for the life of me remember there being one there when I took it off.
Finished swapping the cam and rockers over this arvo. Ready to throw the head on and umm that doesn't look right.
You recon Bursons would have one?

I was missing both mine on a head that got reco'd so we just cut some short bits of 1/2 inch copper waterpipe and used them. exact same size and were a neat fit too.
