Hi,

I've experienced one or two times now that my Jimny will cut out and not restart again until waiting 10 mins or so. 'Check Engine' light does not stay lit up and after waiting I can start the car and keep going.

The cam angle sensor, from what I have been reading, could be the problem and on the way out.

How hard is it to change the sensor? I can see it at the back of the motor on the head but how is it held in? The only things I can see on the sensor or the connector plug and a ground cable going to the car body. Does the sensor just push in or is there some sort of clip or screw holding it in place? The service manual I have doesn't really explain how to replace it.

Thanks, SCott

Not hard at all. If I remember correctly is is held in with only one screw or bolt. It sits in the housing with an o-ring.
