Did u put the 6.5 gears in yourself. I need to do mine soon. Any tips?
I was gonna run the standard castrol 80/90.

Standard recommended transfer oil is the go. Castrol VMX80...

I run heavy weight Redline shockproof in mine.

IMHO normal 80/90W is fine though.

$15-$20 for Castrol or $100-$150+ for Redline. 8O

no I didn't install them myself.. Got them already in a box. So I have no idea.. They are suppose to be fairly easy to install..

Cheers guys for the response.. I just wasn't sure if they run some special oil
in them..

Moreys?? Is it similar to gearbox treatment??

moreys is just an additive, because it is so hot here i recon gear oil needs a bit of help.

i don't think it affects the seals, it is a oil stabiliser.

will i put the transfer into the car.. i ended using a 80/90 and some moreys..
am amazed at how low low range now is... it blew me away... the best mod by far.. and got them for a steel..
$300 and some time to sought out why his car wouldnt start after an engine conversion (took me 5 minutes) blown fuse and fusible link.. hehehe
