I have recently become the proud owner of a 1975 LJ50V, which is in reasonable condition for its age. As well as repairing the rust in the floor I need to replace the exhaust system which is damaged.
I plan to have it long term and keep the vehicle relatively stock except for a disc brake front end.
As 2 strokes can be fickle when it comes to exhausts I am looking for some advice on the replacement. Any advice in regard to mufflers, exhaust pipe diameter, suppliers etc would be greatly appreciated. Live in eastern Victoria
Many thanks 2smoke

sadly anything you get will need to be custom.

Exactly. I'm not looking for an original but some specific info to take to a local exhaust fitter. I can't imagine that they would be familiar with 3 cylinder 2 stroke exhaust requirements. :-)

Best suggestion is take it into one of the oldest exhaust shops in your area and hope they have been in the game long enough to remember 2 strokes.

Best of luck

If you still have the original take that to a GOOD exhaust shop and they should be able to recreate it if you can PAY for it as it will not be cheap.

A while ago I seen a 2 stroke zooki with a full lukey exhaust on it.. I remember reading the badge on it and thought well that's different.. It was early 2000s though.... Maybe there is a chance some where in a back catalogue some where it is still around.. I would try a decent motor bike exhaust shop... I'm sure they could help out I know there are some larger 2 stroke bikes out there so should be able to figure out something that would work
