Doing a G16A engine swap into a sierra , anyone tell me if you still need the engine plate that goes between the gearbox and engine or if you just fit the adaptor plate and which way does the RHS adaptor supplied goes ie. long side to the front or back?

The thin blanking plate on the bottom of the bellhousing? Yes.

Long side on the engine mount adaptor goes towards the front of the car.

The thin plate between engine and gearbox is replaced by the adapter.

The little cover i believe reubs is thinking about gets modified to fit.
When you lay it down flat, theres two tabs on the straight edge pointing up.
Bend these 180 degrees the other way, so the plate can now go on in reverse.

Now it wont hit the flywheel.
