Hi all i have just bought and 03 GV and looking at sourcing some accessories. Front bar and snorkel for a start.

I have looked at GIZ and emailed them but yet to hear back.

Anyone had any experience with fts4x4.com as they seem to have everything i could ever need for the GV and other Zooks. I just wanted to know if it was worth getting a quote from them?

Hi Tstorm,
The 1st Gen GV is unfortunately, not very well catered for by the aftermarket industry in Aust.
A few options for suspension, & diff locks, but not much else.
Your late car probably has ABS brakes, which some of the snorkel options don't cater for.
Of the big 3 players when the car was a current model (ARB, TJM & Opposite Lock), only TJM offered a (alloy) bullbar. No-one, including Safari ever did a snorkel.
Your late car also possibly has SRS airbags, which in theory, prevents a one-off custom jobbie, which a few have done, but which very rarely look decent IMO.
You could have a look at uneek4x4.com.au who do some Suzuki stuff, including a GV front bar.
4xfourart is overseas, but also do some GV stuff.
Good luck with it - they are a great & under-rated 'proper' 4WD which you can have a lot of fun with.
Rgs, Michael

Cheers Michael,
I have few things in the works for a bar and a snorkel. So hopefully that all goes well and I can post up some pictures. Interested to know if anyone has any experience installing cruise control into the the 98-2005 GV? I am interested in doing this as a next project.

Cruise control was a factory option (at least in some countries) it shouldn't be too hard to retrofit, assuming you can track down the bits - I think it it used a funny looking electrical servo that mounted under the bonnet and pulled the throttle pedal via a cable
