Hey all!
I was hoping for some advice on my LJ80 Stockman's suspension. Basically, I want to sort it out for max flex Offroad and tidy up what's already there.
So what's there now? Well we have springs which are still parabolic so they aren't flat, I'm suspecting they are raised. I have moved the front springs forward about 30mm on the chassis hanger (will have to reinforce the chassis mount) to get a better angle on the front shackle. I think that the rear shackles are (homemade) extension however I'm not the biggest fan of the angle.
So, what I want to do is:
Move the spring eye back in the rear chassis hanger about 30mm and put in some reinforcing plates.
Pull apart the spring pack, clean them up, renew the nylon pads and lubricate the leaves after repainting them.
Change out all bushings for new rubber bushes
Reinstall and insure rear shackle angle is close to 45 degrees
Flex it up with some 31's (or equivilent) and take the open and close measures and buy shocks to suit.
Am I on the right track? Any other suggestions?
