g'day all im abit of a newbie and was after some help. my sierra transfercase is making abit of a rattle when im not accelerating ( for example rolling down hills) and it slips out of 4h when going over bumps some times, are they easy to fix or better off buying a second hand one.

If it is rooted it would be easier to buy a second hand one with a 3 month warranty.

I'll buy your stuffed one if you go that way...

i got a price from a wreaker on a second hand one $550. i bit pricy i thought, could it just be the bearings have worn?

I got a price today $350 MINDEN wreckers but they dont have one :(

Around $350 is pretty standard these days for a good second hand jobbie.

mine has the hand brake on the back of the case and the one im looking at doesn't so does the hand brake drum bolt onto the other case

Should do, are the cases the same shape?
Some flange swapping may be in order...

they look the same shape, has anyone on here done this before that is swapped there nt transfer case with a wt transfer case

NT and WT cases are identical.
The NT handbrake drum will bolt onto the WT transfer and the NT flanges will go straight on as well.
