I want to remove these, but will need to refit later. Ones is question are at the front of the rails near the windscreen.

Do I slide forward or lift up? I just want to know which way to remove before being too forceful.

The outside bit is a cover, just pull on it until it pops off. Then you can undo the nuts that hold the rail on

Yeah realize it's just a cover, just want to know if its up or forward I have to pull before I get too aggressive with it.
