So... changed plugs, leads, coils, fuel filter, map sensor, tps, cam sensor, checked timing marks, swapped injectors, cleaned pcv gear, new fuel.

Plugs are black indicating overfuelling
Possible coolant temp sensor is next thought.
But still no check engine light
Any more ideas ???

Ok changed coolant temp sensor now also
- no change and im now nearly 100% out of ideas

When you swapped the injectors, were they new or wrecked ones?

I've had had an issue with mine which still crops up now and then, we changed to wrecked injectors and it got better, then i ran 2 tanks of injector cleaner and it got better again but in wet weather i'm still down on power in lower RPM... I'm still trying to troubleshoot that, but injectors were definitely a part of the cause.

I'm thinking it all started when i filled up on fuel at that Better Choice in Malaga on Carson road... and i'm hoping a few more tanks of regular unleaded will see it right again.

Has a 1.6 swap but runs all the jimny gear except the injectors

Checked all the earth wires?
Perhaps the rotation of engine when revving is breaking the circuit?

Oh, how was the cam pully?
If it isnt tight enough, it can come loose and flog the hell out of the pin and hole.

Perhaps someone pressed the jimny cam cog onto the baleno cam shaft, and got it a little wrong?
One of the forum users here (jimbojones?) did it, and IMO it's a terrible idea for most to attempt.

Yeah already ran separate earth
Timing gear all looked ok
Car was running fine without issue for quite a long time and cam was swapped over im told

Fuel is the simplest explination and i probably should have checked earlier when tank was out. Never had much experience with bad fuel. Will try once i do the daddy daycare run got 2 days off to get it sorted

I dont know whats in this but it was the problem
Couldnt siphon all of it out so will need a few tanks but is 100% on how it was

Car was a midland local
Still running a bit rough due to me just siphoning the tank instead of removing and draining. Just so sick of being covered in fuel.
Guessing it will take a couple of tanks to be completely rid of the remenants

going by the look of that muck, I think your next few tanks should be BP's top shelf 98 octane self cleaning brew.

I also see you buying a couple of new fuel filters in the near future!
might be an idea to stick a generic filter just after the tank too.

fuel filter for the jimny is in the fuel tank, it's also expensive. might save yourself future costs & issues if you just drop the tank now.

Its a new filter

Ok car is driveable but is spluttery and feels really restricted
Cleaned the tank again and all new fuel.
Also washed out the pump pre filter.
The fuel filter is new.
If i floor it in fourth and then slowly release the pedal it picks up more when my foot is barely on.
Cam sensor has already been swapped
Really at a loss, perhaps the pump is not performing ???
It is fairly noisy when i key on
