Hi All.
The rear diff on my 88 WT sierra is noisy. Couple of questions.
Is it an easy task to rebuild the diff center or is it like some of the Fords where it is shimmed and should be doe by a Diff specialist?
I have a 91 Vitara SWB I used as donor for engine and power steering, can the centers out of it be used, know if I go down this part and the ratios are different id need to change front and back centers?
Appreciate all your help and thks in advacne. Chris.
Rear diff from the Vitara will not fit the Sierra. Front gears will, but if it's a manual vitara the ratios will be 5.12, if it's auto 4.6. The WT is either 3.7 or 3.9 (most likely 3.7)

You'll need to front and back in the sierra ( so 2 front vitara ring and pinions.), also need to dent the housings to fit them otherwise the ring sits on the housings.
Have 5.12s in my Sierra. Also Yellow one runs them as well.
