Hey guys i have been looking around and apparently if you have the falcon alternator upgrade and try to install a body lift thr alternator will hit something ? Is this true? (1996 sj80)

It might get close to the steering shaft but a shorter belt will solve this.

Doubt the steering shaft would be an issue. Even with a big Bosch alternator spaced 50mm off the block (as I fitted on my Coily) there is ample clearance around all body components and there would want to be plenty of clearance in case of an engine mount breaking.

Real problem in my case was any future alternator replacement would be a 'radiator out' job.

Yeah no clearance issues with the alternator, body lift or not
