Hey guys, I'm planning on buying a spare wheel Cover but worried that it might get stolen is there a way I can prevent it from theft? Cheers

Are you talking about a softcover or a hard cover?

Who even steals those?

Unless it's obnoxiously offensive (like, more than a "my family" sticker) why would anyone steal / deface it?

Try get one made up with a cable in the back and padlock perhaps?

The soft cover will have a hem with either elastic or paracord that pulls the inner edge to a smaller diameter than the tire - replace it with a steel cable that you can secure to the vehicle.

Or buy a cheap one so if it does get stolen it's not so harsh on your wallet..
It's kinda like, how do I stop people braking into my soft top? It's going to happen regardless I believe.

I agree re: soft top - i haven't locked my doors since i owned the thing (15 years) - i'd rather someone easily get in and see there's nothing in there than cut the soft top just to find the same.

Spare wheel covers are really only there to prevent uv damage to the spare.

If you're doing a 5 tyre rotation this effect is negligible.

easiest way to stop it being stolen is take it off and leave it locked up at home
