hi guys i have done a full Ruf with 40mm OME leaf springs and my shackle angle is not ideal in my own mind.sits roughly at about 45 degree angle maybe a bit more and was just wondering if anyone could send throgh a few pics of there shackle angles. i will upload a photo shortly. 1992 suzuki sierra sj70 2dr hardtop wt
Heres mine with stock lwb rears (shorter than swb) No drilling/welding/fab just bolt em in. This was how the were initially before the springs levelled. A tad more than 45*
There's no right answer. Shackle angle is determined by compression travel at ride height, total travel (determined by shock travel) and balance of droop to compression, desired ride height, and caster at ride height.

yes i understand gwagensteve but really you dont want a shackle thats unicorn like and spear everything in its path. i do love the setup of my ruf and its alot better ride with a shitload more flex than what i used to have haha
I don't care whether the shackle looks like a unicorn or not. There's an optimum position for ride height, flex, droop and caster. It's not a cosmetic consideration in my opinion.
The flattest the shackles can sit without inverting on full compression is the best outcome.
