I have just acquired a 1999 stockman ute with a genuine 35000 km on it .. no rust but has been used as a fencing vehicle on a rural farm so is in need of a new bonnet and left and right guard. Thats where the noob question comes in . Do i have to buy parts off a wide track 1l or will 1.3l bonnet and guards fit. Do the guards come seperate or do i replace the whole clip, and does anyone do a fibreglass clip and bonnet ?

Was planning on selling it but after a couple of stuff arounds im just gonna keep it i think.

Any leaf sprung clip and bonnet will fit

Guards can be swapped but they are brazed to the front facia so they can be tough to separate.

The panels can be bought new for reasonable prices (relative term), 4wdproducts sell them.

As steve says, 1.3l stuff goes right on. Dunno if it will have the mounts for the airbox ect though?

Good point- the jack mount will be on the wrong side and there'll be no provision for the 1.0 airbox.

There may be some fibreglass available from QLD or NZ but it would be a struggle to see any advantage unless your favourite things are cracks, wonky panels and running separate earths for everything.

Thanks guys , my only reason for thinking about glass panels was so far im not a fan of the 0.00003 mm thick steel they seem to have used, i have no issue making brackets and cutting stuff , i just didnt want to waste time chasing up panels that wont fit .. greavesyzook ... show me some money and its yours .. fly up here , i will pick you up from the airport and if you buy it i will take your flight cost off the price

That thin steel makes it light, so the gap between it and glass is negligible.

Too far for me, I'd love it but. If you find 1L stuff it will fit, as will 1.3 but as said the mounts will be wrong

No worries, when I say mounts will be wrong I'm talking about airbox as the 1.3 run a diffrent style airbox, how ever the jack should be the same I cannot remember.
