Hi all
I have a 1993 suzuki sierra sj70 WT 1.3l. I have stripped my transfer case apart to replace bearings as they were noisy to find rockhopper 309/4 engraved on all the gears. Can anybody shed some light on what these numbers mean or what ratio it is. On the big gear in the transfer case i counted 60 teeth. I have searched a lil online but found very minimal. Not too sure how to upload a photo on here yet but if anyone knows what the numbers mean or what gear ratio of gearsets rockhopper released would be much appreciated thanks. I do belive they are quite high ratio cause 1st gear was verrrry slow and ,ax speed was maybe about 50 but its been sometime since i drove with these gears as the bearings were noisy and i bought another t/case in the meantime.
Tooth counts of the all the gears would be great. Rockhopper did a run of 7.2s, which had a 60 tooth count on the largest gear.
I had a set that ate themselves.
Here is the tooth count Input 23 low output 60 hi output 43 counter 58/21
Hi range was 1.87 Low 7.2
They were purchased by the previous owner from BBM, and were designated by rockhopper as series 4. Other than that, I can't tell you anything, as there seems to be very little rockhopper information/documentation.
