Hi guys,, new to this forum, I have a LWB vitara with 3'' suspension lift, 30'' muddies, dual batteries for winch ect ect.
so.. my question is how have you guys been mounting ya winch bars (baring in mind i need to attatch 2 rated recovery hooks to it also).
am looking at bending myself up a 32nb tube bar with high lift jacking points.
any pics of mounting would be appreciated ! cheers.

ImageMy old bar has the 4x8mm stock bumper bolts. 2 12mm bolts that went through crush tubes welded in the horns
And 3 bolts that went through the dimples in the crossmember. Plus the bars back to rhe side steps

Depends if you have a round tube front cross member (tricky to mount off) or the folded & dimpled plate cross member as above.
Round tube use 'U bolt' type exhaust clamps, which is effectively what ARB did when they made bars for that car + 2 captive nuts in the top of the chassis that the stock bumper mounts to.
With the dimpled plate type, you can slip in plates with nuts welded on to run bolts through the dimples + pick up on the side of the chassis.
Both of these methods have proven to be strong enough in use for which bars.

cheers guys. yep ive got the dimpled flat front crossmember, my last bar had a piece of angle bolted to the dimpled front and the 2 top M8 bolts but am wanting something even stronger yet, i like the idea of 2 12mm bolts through the top wing.
