Hey guys! So I want to turn my 1993 sierra into an auto. I have purchased a g16b for her and a auto trans from a vitara. Just wondering if you guys can give me a bit of a heads up of what modifications I will have to make to the tunnel and any other parts I may of not thought of? Thanks!
Remove the Vit TC if it isnt already, widen the tunnel, shorten the jack shaft, pretty sure you reuse the stock cross members. You can get a rear support bearing for the auto for the jack shaft from Low Range Offroad.
In case it iisnt clear, yes you'll need to run the vitara transmission control computer or the transmission won't shift, unless you're using a trimatic three speed auto from a carby vitara.
If the engine and transmission are from the same car it's all (relatively) easy

as Steve said, relatively easy if you rob an auto AW4 Vitara of its complete guts. Few extra wires to splice in, but they go well hard with an auto in them.
Make sure you grab a lot of stuff like the auto brake pedal switch from the vitara too. Need 4 wire switch instead of the stock manuals 2 switch wire.
