Being an h27a im not expecting many people to know but i thought i would ask in case some one has stumbled on the answer.

i have an h27a in the buggy, im wanting to remove the egr. i can blank the plates no issues but im wondering if any one has seen anything about fault codes when its removed.

It just looks like a stepper motor with no real smarts in it so im wondering if it will fault if i unplug it, or just leave the motor plugged in and disconnect from the exhaust/ plug the pipe.

If you unplug the motor you may get a code. Depends if it is a servo or if the ECU uses circuit checking. I vaguely remember there was a time my GV threw a code when I unplugged the EGR harness while it was running.
Blanking it should be no problem as there is unlikely to be an EGR flow sensor.

had a quick look at the fsm. seems they use the map sensor to check the pressure differences in the manifold when the egr is open to see if its blocked. that could be an issue.

When you say blocking it off are you talking about the pipe that goes from left to right on top front of motor?

If that is the case the only way I can see it working well without the EGR is an aftermarket ECU.

extra crap id like to do away with.

ideally id like to run a bigger throttle body as the 27 one is pretty tiny but the egr is built into it.

they fail alot from reading, and would rather not have engine codes poping up all the time while racing
