I've used one of these on another car and I was constantly looking for clean channels and getting interference. This was a cheap cigarette lighter one.

I've recently seen the ones that go in line with the areal cable behind the dash. This is appealing to me as I can keep everything stock and keep the steering controls. They also claim great quality.

Can Anyone comment on their performance?

I've had one of the hard wired ones that plug inline to your aerial, rather than the ones that transmit over FM and get all of that interference.

It was way better. No complaints at all.
