Had a similar problem with a commo V6 in a hilux after the owner drove threw some water, problem was the ECU was wet, how deep was the water and how much was in the cab?

No water in the cab but deep enough to get in the air filter box

Would like to know the answer to this one as it sounds exactly like the problem I had with the CA in my LWB. Had timing, fuel, spark, compression but no bang!

Have you checked fuel flow as well as fuel pressure. You can buy a cheap test kit on eBay for about 30 quid. Check flow by pulling a line off and putting it into a bottle.

My opinion would be to triple check timing marks.

Is it the GV where the a/c drain can block and drip water on the ECU? I remember someone had that issue on here but not sure which model.
