this is a 8V 1.6 in a sierra with a standard 1.6 sump. the bump stops are about 5mm of the diff
and there is 30mm clearance between sump and diff.
i recon that it would only need a little tap with a hammer or move the diff forward 20mm to
get all the clearance it would need. it does have a VL engine mount but i dont think that that would make a difference.
oh and i used a benT kit.

what about when it takes a good hit in the front shep??
I recon my bump stops compress to half their original height just flexing it up, let alone hitting a hole at 30 km h/r.
if it can be done that would be tops as i have a 16v 1.6 ready to go in mine. let me know how you go.

i have just slapped it together so i can drive it to balls shed. it is a vitara sump if that makes
a difference. i recon that the bumpstops could compress 25mm before the sump would touch the diff.
moving the diff forward would (i recon) let the diff clear the sump easily. i have been running that
motor for a bit but i have just put standard flat springs in it so i could move it.

Just out of interest, what's your dizzy look like and how many wires go to your airflow meter?

Yep plug for the dizzy looks same as mine.

I think the AFM is the same as on the Vits that have 3 wire AFM.

Even though its specific to the 16 valve so may have physical differences I think it might rely on the ECU to give it a bit of a hand so wont operate by itself, could be worth having a look in the manual and wiring diagrams to be sure though

Yes the igniter is built in too , wont work without the (a) ECU.
