Hi all,

MY 1999 Jimny has approx 160,000kms. For the past 30,000 I have a check engine light that goes on for a long time and disappears. It only comes on when I get the revs upto about 4000rpm.
No weird noises for the engine, theres a bit of white smoke that comes out the exhaust in the morning. I top it up with oil every 6 months.

Is there a way I can check the error code for the Check Engine Light myself?

Cheers,

Matt.

Under the glove box is a white plug with about 6 holes. You nead to short 2 with a paper clip. Can,t remember which.
