I'm looking at buying a 1999 Jimny JX. Has 235000 ks on it
It comes with KM2 mud tyres, snorkel, Xrox bullbar, modded with exhaust extractors and it looks like it's been lifted but they don't say in their ad.
Their asking $5k which seems like a ok price I'll try and talk them to $4.5.
My only concern is the high KMs, how are the Jimmy's this old and at this range?
I know it will depend on how the owner has treated it. Just looking for some general advice.
Thanks

A 99 can be had cheaper.

Its a 20yr old car with high k's. Check the coolant, oil on dipstick and under the oil cap for lime choc milkshake.

Most times, If its been modded, Its had a rough life.

I would be less worried about the kms and more about how it’s been driven for those kms.

Unless it's been particularly well abused I wouldn't worry about those kms.

Get it up to highway speeds and make sure it doesn't wobble. Also check the front hubs actually engage.

Check around the headlights/body mounts for rust. My 99 was rotten
