Hey all, so i decided to clean up my g16b harness (among other issues) while i swapped to a jimny g13bb intake mani. I have been working on moving sensor plugs ect for the mani change. I have come across 2 issues:

1. Where does this earth belong, it is at the back if thr manifold near cam angle sensor, and pressure sensors. https://imgur.com/a/eqZhGvR

2. What is this mystery plug for? It is residing at the back of the block. The last plug before heading into the computer. I dont believe it was previously plugged into anything(judging about the amout of dirt and oil in the plug) https://imgur.com/a/1lf4P06

Any help is much appriciated!

Mitch

since you have had no replies i will reply for people searching in future.

yes the earths bolts onto the manifold , these are the earths for the ecu.

the mystery plug is not used , i remove it when doing a harness conversion. it is for the speedo in the baleno it attaches to the speedo drive on the front wheel drive gearbox. the other white 2 pin plug that is in the pic is also not used , it is for the reverse switch on the front wheel drive baleno box.

Thankyou very much for your reply, i figured that much. I have just put on a jimny manifold and had to re make the harness. Lots of fun!

Another question if i may, i am not getting any fuel pump relay signal... i have checked all ECU powers and grounds all good. The ECU does not seem to pull the pin (yellow/blue probed at the ecu) low at all. If i measure the pin against +12v (assuming it pulls low) i get 4v at the correct times (for a moment after IGN and continualy when cranking), but no matter what i do i cant seem to get it to trigger the relay (one side of the relay is +IGN and other is connected to the FP pin on ecu). The guy before me had the IGN side of this relay (black/white) earthed before i got to it, is it possible he has damaged the FP trigger on the ECU ( i dont see how it could).. Any ideas? Im going crazy!!
Thanks in advance
M
