hey guys, can someone give advise on an lj50 breaking system, I have replaced all wheel cylinders and master cylinder all new, the brake shoes are good and minimal wear on both the pads and drums. I have bled the system over and over but can only get a hard pedal after pumping the brakes 2 to 3 times then I have a hard pedal and the brakes will lock up but as soon as I release the pedal and step on the pedal again it goes straight to the floor again until I pump the pedal again!!! FRUSTRATING...has any one else got this issue with LJ brakes? the only component that has not been replaced is the diverter block that the front and rear brake lines plumb into from the master cylinder. HELP!!

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

Have you correctly adjusted the brakes?

Yeah this, what you're describing sounds like brake shoes out of adjustment. Jack the wheel up and adjust the shoes in until they just start to rub, give it a couple of good stomps on the pedal and check again. Then back them off so there's no rub.
