I appreciate your input you do have a point about it being a work rig and since posting that I have been considering getting a newer car for the reasons you’ve stated... can’t really carry roofing materials on the little beast doesn’t like it very much. It go’s ok with the 5x4 tradie trailer tho (cause it’s tiny)

I guess the driveline has been a bit of an afterthought and a credit to you guys for making me aware that I could face some issues with reliability in that area. I’ve read that there are possibilities to upgrade cv’s ect to make it stronger

There are no viable option for stronger cv's
Really they are just options to make changing broken cv's easier in my opinion.
Even with stubby mod and hilux cv ect... they still break.
It is possible for the 1.6 to make them live longer as its way less power than the v6 but they still break
