Does anyone have any info on moving rear wheels rearward on a vitara? I would like to move back approx 20mm to give better clearance on front of tyres. 1995 Lwb Vitara.

Can you weld and fabricate? It’s going to be a fairly involved job.

But if it is too involved it may be easier to just modify the body work in front of the wheel well to give some extra clearance.

The leading edge of the wheel arch can be trimmed and hammered quite a long way. What size tyre are you trying to clear? Any body lift or bumpstop spacing?

50mm body lift no bumpstop mods. I will modify the front of the well.

Another question while we are on the job, but unrelated. I have a fully recondition engine that I want to swap into this vehicle. Both are 16 valve 1.6. one difference seams to be the distributors. The engine in the truck I am running at present has the coil igniter etc. on the outside mounted on the fire wall. The donor engine has the electrics built into the distributor itself. Do you know if theses distributors are interchangeable as in the gear to camshaft etc?

Yes 100% interchangeable, and you will need to swap so it works with ecu.

There are a few kits out there that offer adjustable arms. Would be possible to fab something up yourself

Which kits supply adjustable lower arms? I’m aware the calmini kit has some adjustment in the upper arm
