Hi all,
Well I just bought an Auction lemon because of a boozy night, currently sucks to be me.
It came with no key no start, so not much info was available on it and stupid took over!

Anyway had a key cut today and the first thing was the KMs seemed to be ok at 169k, then we got to start Biohazard Will explain that soon. it fired up okish but something didn't sound quite right and a few revs and it sounds like crap, not sure if bottom or top end ? so looking for some possible clues as to the issues and maybe a fix? or a replacement donk, If you or you know of someone in Perth wrecking a JT with good a 2.4 I would much appreciate the info. Just got a wrecker quote and he wants almost 6k for something with 180kms on it.
Right so Biohazard! that'll be part two, I need most likely 90% of the interior, I spent the day gutting the interior up to the dash and when I water blasted the carpet yes water blasted! Under the stink of brown there's a dark grey carpet but whatever superfunky parmesan cheese food/animal was/is there it's made it's way way under the carpet and has died in the hard to clean underlay. subsequently the seats and door cards have absorbed the superfunk + there condition ain't much better, so a replacement interior please.

Yes I know. Don't drink and bid lesson learned.
May consider purchasing complete car? let me know what you have or know of.
Thanks in advance.

J24’s are known to fail, which is why they are 6k second hand from the wreckers.

The car sounds like it is pretty poor condition and will take a considerable investment to restore- likely to be more than it’s worth - your best bet might be to part it out.
