Hi, done the swap got everything up and running but would like to have OBD too, our original Baleno OBD has 3 wires anyone know how to patch this into the ECU?

Are you referring to the J1962 OBD connector?
You need to provide the details of what you're attempting to do - at this point I'd say we have less than half of what we need to know.
You're apparently swapping a G16b from a Baleno into a Sierra, the Baleno would have had OBD, the Sierra would not, I don't see why the original Baleno OBD would/should not still be useable.

Sorry, the original is t usable as it was part and f the loom we didn’t use. Didn’t want a heap of extra wires just for the obd so now I’d like to patch directly into the loom near the ecu

I don’t believe balenos use OBDII, you won’t get usable information from it. Balenos predate the mandatory use of OBDII in Australia, even though the connector is the same.
Best to install a switch to put the ECU into diagnostic mode and use the CE light to read trouble codes.

Even if they have a OBD port you may not be able to talk to it (Ignis/YG owners take note) However! If you use a ELM327 and the software from: https://malykh.com/soft/sz-viewer/#protocolsYou may be able to get away with it, just make sure your interface works with 10.4 Baud I'm currently going down the rabbit hole of transferring the security ROM from my M15A engine, to a M18A engine (I'll create a thread when/if it works), so I can put a M18A in my car. Yes, as I said, they have the port but don’t use the OBDII diagnostics. Even the early vitara G16B has an OBDII port present with basically nothing wired to it.

Its more of a "sorta", some OBD 2 adapters can work with old Suzuki K line interfaces: I take it that the "nothing wired to it", is just a power and the k high (no low) line? I know this doesn't conform to traditional OBD2 (software/half duplex), but electrically its the same. Sorry if I'm repeating something that has already been covered here before.

Help us to understand what it is you need us to help you with. Attachment: Baleno OBD Connector.png There's actually quite a bit of information available at the OBD connector of an "non-OBDII" Suzuki, if you have the appropriate tools to read it, but as Steve says, not much use if you don't. Attachment: Baleno diagnostic connector.png When you're doing an engine swap or modifying a loom, keep everything until you're finished.
