I just got back from a trip to Ayres rock and one of the two things that annoyed me about the new 5 door was its petrol reading. It's got a 40lt tank but every time I filled up when it was just on empty I could only put 30lt in. Even running it until the lights and warning message came on it only took 32lt. Most of the time I was filling up when it was only 100km left on the fuel reading and I would only get 22lt-25lt in the tank. I would love to be able to reset it so that empty read after 35lt instead of 30lt, that extra 5lt makes a difference when driving between petrol stations. I know it doesn't seem like much but always having 8-10lt in the tank makes it seem like 1/4 of the tank isn't there.

That's what I've always done, but the fuel economy changes a lot depending on highway or city driving and it still doesn't stop warning messages coming up, and it's a pretty significant alert at that. A reserve tank would solve the issue, but I'm going to need a tow bar and that complicates things a bit. Guess I will just get used to it.
