Guys...

I was just swapping over to my MT's for a trip this coming weekend and to my shock I found a serious crack in the Chassis behind the Front LHS tyre... Not sure if its fatal or repairable... It's just my weekend toy so I would like to salvage if possible - Is this a common thing?

What's peoples thoughts... repairable (how?) or fatal?

What would be the possible causes of this? (GV Coils in front)

Yes, common. Heavy duty springs and bar work will increase the risk.
Of course it’s repairable with appropriate doubling plates etc but the car is basically a write off now- not an issue for personal use but it’s not really saleable.

Thanks for that... I don't have heavy bar-work but I can understand how the "H/D" GV springs could possibly cause this as they're not that much different to the ones I've replaced... the gv coils have been in there for that past 4-5yrs. I don't know the coil specs but I never felt that they were too heavy or giving a harsh ride.

I tried to do a quick search on the web but couldn't really find much in regard to chassis cracks where mine is...

It’s definitely a thing- high KM/ lots of off road use will do it. I’m suspicious that HD/GV springs might bind which will increase the shock load on the chassis. Anyway we had a vitara in our club that cracked the same place and I’ve seen it from forums in the US
