[Bazzasuzuki]

Gday all
We have a 2010 grand vitara which has developed a fault in the abs system. The code is C1044.
The internet searches ive done show several possible causes, including abs module faults, dodgy soldering in the unit & right rear wheel speed sensor problems.
Has anyone here experienced this fault, & if so, how did you fix it?

Hi Bazzasuzuki,
I have the same problem with a 2009 GV.
Dealer Service department said to replace the unit at $5k which is ridiculous.

Have you had any luck?

I have the 2008, weak battery. I changed the battery to a new one and all good.
If your abs service message goes out after the car starts that's likely the cause.
